Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the sales operational strategy for the zone, in alignment with the national sales targets strategy and with the guidance and support from Sales Operations Manager, and dotted relationship to the Head of Commercial.
  • Organizing sales activities and functions in the field to achieve targets, revenue and desired quality of sales for both B2C and B2B.
  • Ensure on time and high-quality system installations and maintenance. Also, health, safety and environmental standards are adhered to, through Zonal Service Coordinators.
  • Ensure all stock management, forward and reverse logistic is done as per the requirements set by Supply Chain department through Supply Chain Team Lead,
  • Management of the total loan portfolio within the zone in connection to collections and recovery as per the standards from both sales and credit (customer finance) perspectives.
  • Analyze business reports and identifying opportunities to maximize growth and expand the business through performance improvement, partnerships, mergers, new markets.
  • Develop accurate and consistent bids with other internal stakeholders and takes leadership of the Cross Functional Teams’ integration.
  • Provide supervisory and leadership oversight across the team(s) in enhancing both the performance and engagement of subordinates to achieve desired targets.
  • Maintain portfolio credit quality by ensuring weekly credit meeting are conducted, monitoring risk concentrations and early identification of problem situations.
  • Provide review and guidance to both Zonal Sales Managers and Area Managers to ensure that credit applications are of high quality and in the appropriate manner as set out in the standard credit application procedures/policies.
  • Responsible to ensure  Ethics compliance is always adhered optimally.

  • Ensure proper/acceptable behavior are exhibited by staff in your zone when performing their duties.
  • Ensure performance consequences are taken by the line managers in your zone i.e., recognize best performers and manage poor performers from time to time through both, formal and informal feedback.
  •  Assess and monitor the training and development needs of the staff in the zone.
  • Ensure staff have the resources they require to perform their work.
  •  Checking and ensuring TRA regulations are observed where applicable and updated timely as may be required by the law.
  •  Ensure staff understands the context of their roles in relation to’s strategy.
  • Ensure proper/acceptable behavior are exhibited by staff in your zone when performing their duties.

Requirements

Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience in Sales and Operational management in a medium-sized company.
  • Strong business acumen: ability to set direction, to develop and implement adequate operational and managerial processes from scratch and sustainable business operations.
  • Proven ability to inspire and lead a large team, coach, and develop individuals.
  •  Ability to communicate clearly through formal reports, presentations, memoranda, and email, and making decisions for the business.
  • Proven record of leadership, budget management, collaboration and engaging at senior level.
  • Must be self-motivated, with an ability to balance multiple projects while working under tight deadlines with close attention to detail, accuracy, and quality at all times.
  • Willing to travel/be assigned to work in any geographic location in Tanzania
